El refresco lingüístico de hoy nos ayuda a saber leer el símbolo de porcentaje ‘%’. Seguro que no estás al ‘ciento por ciento’ seguro de escribirlo bien…

Esto me lo han discutido muchas veces, pero os aseguro que es dogma ortográfico del bueno…

El símbolo “%” va SIEMPRE precedido de una cifra escrita con números (no letras) y se lee

SIEMPRE “por ciento”. Única excepción: la expresión 100 %, que se lee “cien por cien”.

El 50 % del alumnado son mujeres [Lectura: El cincuenta por ciento del alumnado son mujeres]

El cincuenta por ciento del alumnado son mujeres.

El cincuenta por cien del alumnado son mujeres.

Un 95 % votó en contra. [Lectura: Un noventa y cinco por ciento votó en contra]

Un noventa y cinco por ciento votó en contra.

Un noventa y cinco por cien votó en contra.

Rendiré al 100 %. [Lectura: Rendirá al cien por cien]
